Tonight the 7.30 Report featured Kerry O'Brien interviewing the Prime Minister. I thought the PM had a case to answer and hence was expecting Mr O'Brien to ask him a few pointed questions. Unfortunately Mr O'Brien's ego got the better of him as he descended to thinly veiled personal abuse instead of trying to probe Mr Howard's flimsy defences. The result? IMO the PM emerged as a man on top of the situation whereas Kerry looked like a ranting buffoon.
Check the transcript for yourself: the facial expressions and voice tones aren't there but you may be able to infer them from the words.
