Jordanhill Railway Station

Why a post about a 118 year old Scottish railway station? Because it's the one millionth English language article posted on Wikipedia . A considerable achievement by any standard. Even in these times it's hard to believe that so much data, information, knowledge and even wisdom has been put on line and into the public domain.

John Quiggin , who at last year's Adelaide Festival of Ideas presented a session at which he composed a Wikipedia entry for the event anticipated the million article milestone with a blog posting.
